Flundreviken fishing village

Flundreviken is now known as a small boat harbor and boat club, established in 1981. However, this location likely has a long and rich history.

Possible Viking Connections

There may be traces of Viking activity in the forest across the road from Flundreviken. This theory is supported by the presence of Viking-era graves in the neighboring bays:

  • Gustavsvik (the bay before Flundreviken)
  • Snäck (the bay after Flundreviken)

Given this archaeological evidence, it's reasonable to assume that Vikings also inhabited Flundreviken at some point in history.

Modern Development

Today, Flundreviken has transformed into a modern facility. For more information about its current amenities and activities, you can visit their website.

The marina now serves as a peaceful retreat where people can relax and unwind for a while, enjoying the area's natural beauty and maritime atmosphere.
